Winter garden concepts, designed to provide garden comfort even during the winter months, meet both comfort and insulation expectations. Winter gardens, supported by fixed and movable systems, allow open spaces to be converted into enclosed areas. To maximize thermal insulation and benefit from solar heat during the winter, the use of double-glazed low-e coated glass is recommended. Depending on the need, tinted or reflective glass can be used for sun protection, light control, and glare reduction. For safety, the overhead glass must be laminated. Our products are manufactured in compliance with TS EN 12150, TS EN 1279, and TS EN 12543 standards and are tested in Alcam Laboratories.

In winter garden glazing, which consists of glass, steel, and profiles, Alcam produces insulating units that offer high light transmission to optimize the use of sunlight, provide maximum thermal insulation with U-values as low as 0.5 W/m²K, and acoustic insulation. If desired, laminated glass with natural UV-transmitting PVB interlayers can be used. In the roof glazing of winter gardens, thermal insulation units made of tempered and laminated glass are filled with argon gas to enhance insulation.

Used in all architectural applications where spaces are converted for enclosed use.
