Acoustic laminated glass is used for noise control, limiting the entry of unwanted and disturbing sounds into living spaces. This type of glass dampens sound waves and restricts their transmission to the other side. Special acoustic PVB layers are used in the production of acoustic laminated glass.

Alcam’s Experience and Expertise in Acoustic Laminated Glass

In the lamination process, two or more glass plates are combined with acoustic PVB layers between them, and the assembly is subjected to high heat and pressure. Alcam employs lamination lines, vacuum bagging, and autoclave methods to ensure the highest quality in its acoustic laminated glass production.

Acoustic laminated glass is ideal for environments close to noise sources, such as airports, train stations, highways, busy streets, entertainment venues, crowded city centers, and factories, or wherever acoustic insulation is needed. It can be used in:

  • Façade Glass
  • Windows
  • Office Partitions
  • Translation Booths
  • Meeting Rooms
  • TS EN 12543
  • TS EN 14449
  • TS EN 12758

Alcam uses TROSIFOL MONOLAYER ACOUSTIC PVB in acoustic laminates designed for noise control. Trosifol SC Monolayer is a type of PVB that provides excellent noise control with just a single layer. With its technical expertise and experience, Alcam customizes the laminate combination to meet the noise insulation value in decibels (dB), calculated according to the project requirements. Instead of cutting pre-made acoustic laminated plates, Alcam offers its clients the right solution by producing the correct product tailored to the project’s needs.
