Low-E insulated glass, using Low-E coated glass with a low thermal conductivity coefficient, is used to provide thermal insulation in residential buildings and commercial refrigeration units. High-performance Low-E glass reflects radiant heat, doubling the thermal insulation performance compared to uncoated glass. Insulated glass made with temperable Low-E glass offers not only thermal insulation but also a safety solution. When triple-glazed units are produced using Low-E coated glass, the U-value can decrease to as low as 0.5 W/m²K, maximizing thermal insulation.
